Syrskyi: The situation at the front has worsened

The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrsky, reported on the aggravation of the situation at the front, noting that the situation is very dynamic. He wrote about it in detail on his TG channel.

"The situation at the front has worsened. Trying to seize the strategic initiative and break through the front line, the enemy concentrated the main efforts in several directions, creating a significant advantage in forces and means. Actively attacks along the entire front line, has tactical successes in some areas. There is a dynamic change in the situation. , certain positions change "from hand to hand" several times during the day, which gives rise to an ambiguous understanding of the situation," the message reads.

It is reported that this week heavy fighting continued all along the front line, and in some directions the enemy had tactical success, and in others it was possible to improve the tactical position of our troops.

In the Luhansk region, the enemy is trying to take advantage of its advantage in air, missiles and the number of artillery ammunition.

"The main task is to reach the administrative border of Luhansk region," the head states.

Syrsky noted that the enemy is crossing the main efforts in the Kupian direction in the area of the villages of Stelmakhivka and Berestov, where the enemy had partial success, but was stopped by Ukrainian defenders, as well as in the Lyman direction, where it is advancing on the village of Terny and trying to dislodge the Defense Forces of Ukraine behind Black Stallion river, but no success.

On the Kramatorsk direction, Ivanovske and Hodinnyk Yar remain the hottest spots, and the enemy is also trying to regain control of Klishchiivka and cross the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas channel.

The commander-in-chief reported that the most difficult situation is in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv directions, where the enemy has deployed up to four brigades and is trying to develop an offensive west of Avdiyivka and Maryinka, breaking through to Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv.

"The units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, preserving the lives and health of our defenders, moved to new frontiers west of Berdychev, Semenivka and Novomykhailivka. In general, the enemy achieved certain tactical successes in these directions, but could not gain an operational advantage. Ukrainian troops inflict maximum losses on the enemy, both in terms of personnel and military equipment. In order to strengthen the defense in these directions, to replace the losses of units, the brigades that have regained combat capability are being moved," the message to the head of the commission says.

The situation in the southern directions remains tense, but Syrsky claims that the enemy has none of them.

"Moreover, in the direction of Kherson, our units managed to advance in the area of Veletenskyi and establish control over the island of Nestryga. Also, the Defense Forces of Ukraine managed to improve their tactical position in the area of Sinkivka (Kupyansk direction) and Serebryansk Forestry (Lymansk direction)," the chief added.
